In your earnings-related pension record, you can see the development of your pension cover at a glance. Check your record annually to make sure that your earnings information, which affects your pension, is up to date.
In our online service, you can check your information when it suits you. Our customers who have not checked their earnings-related pension record online receive the record by mail every three years. This year, we are sending records to those who are born in January–April. Person who are 58 years old or older receive their record every year.
Thanks to the new Incomes Register maintained by the Finnish Tax Administration, the earnings-related pension record is more up to date than ever before. As of the beginning of this year, employers report wages and salaries to the Incomes Register within five days of their payment. From the Incomes Register, information is transferred directly to the pension record. If you are an entrepreneur, your pension accrues on the basis of the YEL income you have determined.
