The Accessibility Statement (updated 21 September 2020) concerns the varma.fi website (hereinafter website). Our website contains information on TyEL and YEL insurance, earnings-related pensions and Varma’s operations.
We aim to guarantee the accessibility of our website in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). We have assessed the accessibility of our website ourselves. We develop our services together with digital communication professionals and accessibility experts.
Our website largely fulfils the accessibility requirements and does not contain critical accessibility deficiencies. Some of the older news content on our website, as well as PDF files containing company information and contents on our customer events and Varma’s rehabilitation partners are not fully accessible. In addition, some of the subheadings used on the website lead to an illogical subject heading hierarchy. Filling in insurance applications using a keyboard and screen reader works imperfectly (work is under way to fix the problems, and this work is expected to be completed in the first half of 2021). We continue to develop our website with respect to any observed accessibility shortcomings. The accessibility requirements do not concern files that were published before 23 September 2018.
If you notice any accessibility problems on our website, please let us know. You can give general feedback on accessibility using the online form below or by sending an email to saavutettavuus(at)varma.fi. Do not send personal questions regarding your matter using the online form.
If you require information regarding your personal matter and this information is not contained in an accessible format in our service, please contact us by sending a message in the ‘Messages and attachments’ page of our eServices for private customers, or by sending a secure email or by calling our customer service at the number +358 10 192 102.
We will respond to your feedback within 14 days. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, or if you do not receive a response from us within two weeks, you can notify the Southern Finland Regional State Administrative agency of the matter. The website of the Southern Finland Regional State Administrative Agency contains instructions on how to file the notice and information on how the matter will be addressed.
