If you use the paperless service, we will send you a text message when you can see your annual letter in Varma Online Service.
You can choose to use the paperless service in Varma Online Service.
You will find a direct link to the annual letter on the front page of Varma Online Service once it is available.
You can also find your annual letter in your documents.
If you have selected the paperless service in Varma Online Service and we know your phone number, we will send you a text message when you see your annual letter in our online service. Text messages sent by Varma never contain any links.
You can read the annual letter by logging in to Varma Online Service with your Finnish online banking credentials or mobile ID.
You can activate the paperless service in Varma Online Service on the Personal details page. There, you can also add your phone number to your contact details.
We will send the annual letter by post to pensioners living abroad and to guardians.
However, if you wish to receive the annual letter on paper by post every year, you can request this by calling our telephone service +358 10 192 100.
When you order an annual letter delivered by post, we will continue to send the annual letter to you by post. If you have previously ordered the annual letter delivered by post, you do not need to order it again.
The quickest way to get your printed annual letter is to log in to Varma Online Service. You can print your annual letter there or save it as a PDF file on your device.
Pensioners living abroad and guardians receive the annual letter by post. The letter also includes a residence report, which must be completed and signed and returned to Varma.
Return the residence report even if there have been no changes to your information during the year. If we do not receive your report by the deadline, we will have to suspend the payment of your pension. We will continue to pay once we have received your completed and signed residence report.
You can also confirm your residence report in Varma Online Service if you have Finnish online banking credentials or mobile ID. The residence report can also be a free-form letter sent by post. The letter must include your name, Finnish personal identity code, address and signature.
