What to do when I wish to check my pension accrual?

You can see the amount of pension you have accrued in your pension record as long as you are not yet retired. Log in to Varma Online Service using your online banking codes and go to the page Your pension > Pension record. If you are already retired, you can view your annual letter on the page Messages and documents > Decisions and documents.

How to check your pension accrual

  1. Log in to Varma Online Service with your banking codes or Mobile ID
  2. Check your pension record to see the amount of pension you have accrued

The electronic pension record shows how much pension you have earned and gives an estimate of the amount of your future pension.

If you do not have online banking codes but would like to receive an estimate of your future pension, please contact Varma's customer service by phone.

The salary information from the previous month and the pension it accrued are updated from the Incomes Register to the pension record after the 8th day of each month.

Opening the PDF will show you your full employment history, as well as the pension that has accrued on your earnings at the current year’s level.

How to check your annual letter as a pensioner

  1. Log in to Varma Online Service with your banking codes or Mobile ID
  2. When you have logged in to the service, go to the page Messages and documents. You will find your annual letter under the tab Decisions and documents.

In the annual letter, you can see

  • the amount of pensions and withholding tax paid in the previous year
  • the index-adjusted amount of pension and withholding tax for the current year
  • pension payment dates.
