At the same time, Varma has increased its ownership in Lumo Housing’s parent company, Lumo Homes plc, and continues investing in housing as a significant shareholder.
“We are pleased that the transaction has been completed as planned and in good cooperation between the parties. The arrangement supports our investment strategy and ensures a smooth transfer of the housing portfolio to a solid and professional real estate investor. We warmly thank our customers for their tenancy," says Varma’s Deputy CEO Markus Aho.
The tenancy agreements and terms for residents living in Varma’s apartments have remained unchanged following the transfer to the new property owner. Varma and Lumo Homes announced the agreement on the sale earlier in February.
